Gloucestershire C-Card Scheme

What is it?

C-Card is friendly, confidential and easy to use. You can find C-Card points in colleges, youth clubs, Connexions, GPs, pharmacy.
C-Card is a condom distribution scheme where young people under 25 who live in Gloucestershire. You can get free condoms from any of the distribution outlets.

How Does it Work?

You need to register for the scheme at a registration centre. You will be asked to complete a registration form, all of the information you provide will be kept confidential. If you don’t want to give us any information, that is fine. You will still be able to get condoms.
You will then be given a C-Card which you can use at any of the distribution points. It will have a number on; this is your C-Card.
What will my C-Card experience be like?
It’s important to us that you have a good experience using C-Card. C-Card is confidential and workers will be friendly, welcoming and treat you with respect.
All C-Card workers are trained to give you a high quality service so if it’s not like this please contact us to let us know.

Confidentiality

C-Card is confidential. This means that information you give to a C-Card worker will remain private and confidential unless the worker believes that you are at risk of harm or harming others.
This means that even if you are under 16 we won’t tell your parents, guardians, your doctor, your school or anyone else that you are using C-Card unless we think you are being harmed – it’s up to you who you tell.

C-Card workers will treat you fairly and with respect at all times.

Friendly and Welcoming

C-Card workers will provide a friendly and welcoming service to all people. C-Card is open to everyone whatever your sexuality.
